Use observations to rearrange demanding work
1. Observe work conditions instead of diagnosing energy
Do not immediately explain a difficult morning through biology or willpower. Record the task, interruptions, and whether necessary material was available. Energy is an everyday expression here; the app neither measures your physical state nor calculates an optimal work time.
2. Worked example: exchange drafting and email
Suppose calls repeatedly interrupt a 09:00–10:00 draft while 15:00–16:00 email processing is quieter. On a comparable day, check whether the tasks can exchange slots. Deadlines, response expectations, and materials must allow it. One quiet afternoon does not establish a universally best time.
3. Change one placement and review the same details
Changing duration and scope at the same time makes the result harder to interpret. Where practical, change placement alone and record start time, interruption reasons, and remaining work consistently. This is a personal observation, not an efficacy experiment or a medical assessment.
4. Separate the plan from what happened
Edit the plan in table view and keep what happened in a record or memo. Brief descriptions such as “material missing” or “meeting extended” are sufficient without sensitive work details. A day with extra meetings has different conditions; do not label it simply as poor concentration.
5. When the conditions need to change
If the same obstacle appears everywhere, stop moving blocks and examine response coverage, material delivery, or deadlines. A useful conclusion is not “afternoons are correct” but “ask whether someone can cover calls during Wednesday’s drafting slot.”
