가 본 나라 지도: 세계지도에 칠하고, 도시와 장소를 핀으로
24Houring의 다섯 번째 탭 플레이스는 장소의 축입니다. 하루(원형 시간표), 한 달(캘린더), 평생(라이프), 사람(관계)에 이어, 내가 실제로 가 본 나라와 도시와 지점을 한 장의 지도에 남깁니다.
두 겹의 지도
- 세계 — 손으로 돌려 보는 지구본에서 가 본 나라를 눌러 칠합니다. 가까이 갈수록 도시와 그 이름이 차례로 나타납니다. 지도 데이터가 앱과 함께 담겨 있어 네트워크 없이도 동작합니다.
- 핀 — 실제 지도 위에 식당·숙소·산·학교 같은 구체적인 지점을 핀으로 꽂고 날짜와 메모를, Pro에서는 사진까지 남깁니다.
손으로 찍습니다
자동 위치 추적도, 백그라운드 GPS도, 사진에서 좌표를 읽어 오는 기능도 없습니다. 지도를 눌러 그 자리에 핀을 꽂거나, 나라를 눌러 칠하는 것만이 기록이 되는 방법입니다. 내 위치 버튼을 누르면 그때 한 번만 위치를 읽어 지도를 그 자리로 옮기지만, 그 좌표 자체는 저장하지 않습니다. 위치를 한 번 허용해 두었다면 탭을 열 때 지도가 그 자리에서 시작합니다(권한을 새로 묻지 않습니다). 그래서 이 지도는 정확히 내가 남기고 싶은 만큼만 남습니다.
숫자로 보이는 발자취
지도 위에 28개국 · 세계의 14% · 4개 대륙 · 도시 61곳처럼 한 줄이 붙습니다. 나라를 칠하면 그 줄이 바로 바뀌고, 핀을 꽂으면 그 나라가 저절로 칠해집니다.
라이프·관계와 이어집니다
라이프에 적어 둔 여행·이사 사건의 제목에서 도시 이름을 찾아 후보로 제안하고, 확인한 것만 지도에 반영합니다(자동으로 칠하지 않습니다). 라이프의 사건에는 장소를 직접 붙일 수도 있습니다. 핀에는 관계 탭의 함께 간 사람을 연결할 수 있습니다.
저장과 내보내기
기록은 이 브라우저에 저장됩니다. 상단 내보내기에서 세계지도를 2160px 그림으로 저장하거나, 사진까지 담은 JSON 백업을 받아 두세요. Pro 동기화를 켜면 여러 기기에서 같은 지도를 봅니다. 나라와 도시는 무료로 제한 없이, 핀은 무료로 50개까지이며 한도에 닿아도 이미 적은 것은 사라지지 않습니다.
지도 데이터
도시 검색은 앱에 담긴 목록에서 먼저 찾고, 없으면 인터넷에서 찾기를 눌러 그 나라 말 그대로 찾을 수 있습니다(창녕, 서천처럼). 세계지도와 도시 목록은 Natural Earth(퍼블릭 도메인)에서 만들어 앱에 함께 담았습니다. 가까이 들어간 지도의 배경 타일은 © OpenStreetMap contributors이며, 그 표기는 화면과 내보낸 그림에 항상 남습니다. 지구본과 지도는 따로 고르는 것이 아니라 얼마나 확대했는지로 갈립니다. 물러나면 지구본이, 한 나라보다 가까이 들어가면 지도가 같은 자리에서 이어받습니다.
A scratch map: colour in the countries, pin the places
24Houring's fifth tab, Place, is the axis of where. After a day (the circle timetable), a month (the calendar), a whole life (the life line) and the people (the relation map), this keeps the countries, cities and particular spots you have actually been to, on one map.
Two layers
- World — a globe you turn with a finger; tap a country to colour it in, and the cities and their names appear as you come closer. The shapes ship with the app, so it works with no network at all.
- Pins — drop a pin on a real map for a restaurant, a place you stayed, a mountain, a school; keep a date, a note, and with Pro a photograph.
You put it there yourself
There is no automatic tracking, no background GPS and no reading coordinates out of photographs. Tap the map to drop a pin, or tap a country to colour it in — that is the only way anything gets recorded. The "where I am" button reads your position once, to move the map there, and does not keep it. The map holds exactly as much as you decided to give it.
Your travels as a number
A line sits above the map: 28 countries · 14% of the world · 4 continents · 61 cities. Colouring a country changes it at once, and dropping a pin colours that country in by itself.
It knows Life and Relation
It reads the trips and moves on your life line, looks for a city name in each title, and offers what it found — nothing is coloured in until you have agreed to it. A moment on the life line can also be given a place directly, and a pin can name who was there from the relation map.
Saving and exporting
Everything is kept in this browser. Export in the header saves the world map as a 2160px picture, or a JSON backup with the photographs in it. With Pro sync the same map opens on every device. Countries and cities are free without limit; the free plan holds 50 pins, and reaching a limit never removes anything already written.
Where the map comes from
A city is looked for in the list that ships with the app first; where it is not there, look up online finds it by the name it actually goes by. The world and the city list are built from Natural Earth (public domain) and ship with the app. Closer in, the map's tiles are © OpenStreetMap contributors, and that credit stays on the screen and in the exported picture. Globe and map are not two modes to choose between but one view at two scales: pull back and the globe has it, go closer than a country and the tiles take over in the same place.
